In both countries, the revision processes face difficulties that raise questions about the underlying reasons motivating the need to amend their Constitutions. In France, the aim of the revision is to enable \u00ab\u00a0a more representative, responsible and effective democracy\u00a0\u00bb, although the parliamentary discussion phase was interrupted by the Yellow Vests movement and the National Grand Debate.
