Symposiums
THe Nihon EuropA network organises a major symposium every two years, complementing its regular scientific events, in the form of comparative perspectives on key French and Japanese legal issues.
The year 2022 was a landmark year, featuring two major conferences: first, on 19 and 20 May, a symposium on the theme « Law, Territories, Terroirs & Gastronomy in France and Japan »; and second, on 24 and 25 October, a conference addressing major constitutional law questions in light of the contemporary issues in both countries, as well as the implications of JEFTA and business law disputes in France and Japan.
In 2023, the major Franco-Japanese Nihon EuropA conference will take place in late September at the University of Poitiers, focusing on social protection systems in times of crisis.
